Cookie Policy
Kool is deliberately light on cookies. We use only strictly-necessary, first-party technologies to sign you in and keep the service secure. We use no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no third-party analytics.
You will still see a short notice the first time you visit, because a promise you have to open a policy page to read is not much of a promise. It asks once, it remembers your answer, and declining takes exactly the same single click as accepting.

The cookie this site sets
On k00l.app the list is one line long. kool_consent stores the answer you gave the notice, for twelve months, first-party, SameSite=Lax. It holds three yes/no values and the date you chose them, nothing that identifies you. It is strictly necessary in the plain sense of the phrase: without it we would have to ask you again on every page, which is the thing you just declined.
Changing your mind
Open your cookie settings to change any answer, at any time. The same link sits in the footer of every page on this site. The two categories that are switched off have nothing running behind them today, and we keep your answer for the day that changes: if we ever add an optional cookie, it starts from the decision you already made rather than from a fresh banner.
Managing cookies in your browser
All major browsers let you view, block and delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in. In the app, sign out to clear your session. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the optional categories start switched off before you touch anything.
Third parties
If you follow a link out of Kool or link a Gmail mailbox, that destination or provider may set its own cookies under its own policy, which we don't control.
